When you exhibit in Australia, a 10% Goods & Services Tax (“GST”) will be included in the price of most things that you purchase, including exhibition space, display stands and peripherals, accommodation, meals and transport. As a non-resident business, it is most likely that you will be entitled to a refund or reclaim of this GST from the Australian Taxation Office (“ATO”).
What can we do to help you claim back this cost ?

What do you need to do to support a claim ?
You will firstly need to become registered for GST, which is a relatively straight-forward process. You will need to complete the documentation and identification verification steps, depending upon where you are located.
Secondly, you will need to keep and forward copies of receipts and suppliers’ tax invoices (showing the amount of GST you have been charged) to us so that we can prepare and lodge your claim. We will do the rest !
